Boavision redefines security with innovative WiFi cameras, designed to protect your home with cutting-edge technology and flawless reliability

I initially chose this camera because it was $50 cheaper than the one I previously bought, and I liked the sleek black design on the rotating part. To my surprise, it turned out to be the same high quality as my more expensive model, works with the same app, and performs just as well. It’s an excellent option for standalone use in my backyard, which spans 3 acres. The solar feature is a game-changer for me since I can monitor my dogs and chicken coop remotely, and even communicate with them through the app. I can also easily talk to my wife when she’s out there without her phone. While the setup might be a bit challenging if you’re not comfortable with apps, following the instructions made it quick and straightforward. I also added a WiFi repeater in my backyard to ensure a better signal, which really helped

I purchased three of these cameras for outdoor security at our second home, which was recently broken into, as we’re rarely there. The pan function works well, with a slight delay, but it’s actually faster than I expected. It took me some time to get used to the app, likely because I’m familiar with a different brand of cameras at our primary home and their app works differently. I opted not to use the cloud service and rely on the SD card, but it took a while to figure out how to access the stored data. My suggestion would be to include clearer instructions on using the app, as it can be a bit tricky to navigate at first. Also, it would help if the volume was adjusted before leaving the factory, as the pairing prompts were extremely loud and hard to understand

Overall, this is a very solid camera with a range of impressive features. The WiFi connection range is exceptional, far surpassing two other cameras I tried, which couldn’t even connect at half the distance. The autofocus works smoothly, and the “humanoid” detection is effective, tracking and following movement, though the camera’s motion can feel a bit jerky at times (I’ve only tested this feature once). The recorded video quality is excellent, with clear audio, and the phone app provides good control over the camera, allowing you to adjust alert sensitivity. The use of a micro SD card is convenient, automatically overwriting the oldest files when space is needed. On the downside, the directions could be clearer, which isn’t too surprising. I accidentally activated the siren and bright LED without realizing until I watched the recorded footage. While the zoom function works well and focuses effectively, I’m not convinced it can zoom in clearly enough to read a license plate as advertised

I did extensive research before deciding on this product, and it definitely lived up to expectations. It arrived on time, and the installation was quick and hassle-free. The camera connected to my Wi-Fi easily, and the app is very user-friendly, making the whole system work together smoothly. I did need to fine-tune the AI humanoid and motion sensitivity settings to reduce false alarms while still detecting me when I tried to “sneak” past the motion sensor, but once adjusted, it worked flawlessly. The video quality and pictures are excellent, and I also set up additional viewing presets, which was simple. Everything saves to the SD card, and accessing footage through the app is a breeze. Even in Minnesota’s extreme cold, with temperatures well below zero, the camera continues to perform without any issues
